Foundling museum

The new donation box of the London based Foundling Museum has been developed with close inspiration from the existing architectural elements and choice of materials of the museum’s main entrance. The aim has been to develop a donation box in line with the museum’s exterior environment to further extend the visitor’s experience of the museum entrance and yet keeping the box in a classic and timeless design.

The Donations box is manufactured in 12mm thick high impact poly carbonate. A strong but light weight material – difficult to break and fracture proof.

Using a vertical and central axis as the donations slot on the front of the box makes it donations attractive and easy accessable for both family and children. Making it very easy to use and hence increasing the potential donation.

The floating glass plate – makes the donations visible and creates a “magic” feeling of floating donations – a visual and inviting donations box.
